Student Activities

Current and former students include John Mark McMillan, Cara Watson—2014 Hollywood Week and Top 48 Contestant on American Idol, Chris Sheridan of Simplified, Kristi Ormand of StellaRising, Josiah Prince of Disciple, Frank Kershbaumer of BluAvenue, Marcel Portilla Band, and Scott Taube of Lnyx.

Others are members of, or perform with, Opera Carolina Chorus, the Charlotte Symphony Chorus, Charlotte Children’s Choir, Carolina Voices, Festival Singers, Charlotte’s elite chamber choir, VOX and the Tampere Opera Chorus in Finland.

Musical theatre credits include students in performances with Matthews Playhouse, Theatre Charlotte, Children’s Theater of Charlotte, North Carolina Theater, and Narroway. Jane also has students at Northwest School of the Arts in the Charlotte Mecklenburg County School District and the Central Academy of Technology and Arts in the Union County School District.

Many of Jane’s students have gone on to further study and performance majoring in voice, music, musical theater or theater at the following universities and colleges:
